Captain Tsubasa resolution issues

Hi everyone.
To start off I own a monitor with 2560x1080 native resolution, I was happily playing the game in borderless windowed mode at 1920x1080 which added black stripes to the side, not the best, but I was ok with it.

Now apparently Bamco patched the game recently allowing higher resolutions to show properly, however, it doesn't allow my native resolution (game shows 2560x1440) and now, every resolution I set is stretched; the only way for me to get normal aspect ratio is to play windowed (which is very bad).

 

Is there a way to force non scaling? I already tried going through nvidia's control panel -> adjust size -> tried everything here, still the game stretches out; contrary to most common requests, I'd rather have my black bars with normal aspect ratio, than this stretched out image.
