Hi,

I have a 32" 4K monitor (Acer ET322QK) and Vega 56. I've noticed that no matter how much AA I use, I'm still having uneven lines in my games. I've first noticed that in Rise of the Tomb Raider and it's the same in GTA V. I've taken a few screenshots, so it might look different on your screen, in which case it would mean that there's an issue with my monitor, or maybe I'm missing something. All settings are maxed out.

I attached 3 pictures: 1080p with FXAA (I like to play in 1080p because I don't notice much of a difference and it keeps the GPU silent), 1080p with MSAA 8x, and 4K with MSAA 8x. This isn't the worst example because this issue is even more visible in other areas. Is there anything I can do to improve this?

I also noticed that I'm super sensitive to frame drops. I can tell immediate when the framerate drops below 60 (even if it's just 50) and it makes me feel sick in some games like Tomb Raider. I tried with FreeSync enabled and disabled. However I feel totally fine playing at 30 FPS on my PS4 on a TV, and I don't remember being this sensitive on my previous monitor, which was a Samsung SyncMaster F2380. Do you have any explanation for that?

Finally, since this is VA panel, I was expecting to have some deep blacks but I'm not impressed so far, although this could be just because most apps have grey-ish background in dark mode. Is there anything I can do to check if my monitor is calibrated correctly without using a hardware tool. I've tried some websites like http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/display_settings.php but everything seems to be fine.

Thanks

It just looks to my eye as if AA wasn't working right. That's hardly your display's fault.
