R5 3600, EVGA GTX 1060 (soon to upgrade) 32gb G.Skill Trident Z Royal 3200, 750W Thermaltake Toughpower Grand RGB. Budget is not too much an issue, I have 720 usd saved for new RTX card so I can dip into that because I am not going to get the card in the first round, so I can save more.

Budget is not too much an issue,

Without a number it's kind of hard to recommend something.

but why are do you want to replace your current board? it should easily handle the 3600 and if you're not planning on getting zen 3, then it's kind of a useless upgrade.

But to name some decent boards (this vrm is only for the vcore): B550 tomahawk: RAA229004 and 10 ISL99360.

B550 A pro: IR35201 and a 5 phase with 10 4C029N and 10 4C024N.

B550 strix f: forgot the controller (lol) but it uses 12 sic639.

B550 aorus pro: RAA229004 and 12 sic654 with ISL6617 for doublers.

To name some, and those are pretty decent.

I know it can handle what I have currently, but it is an older board and I eventually want to go to Zen 3 hence part of the reason to upgrade. The list you provided, unfortunately for me the Strix-F is not in the running. I know I did not mention this before but I need a USB-C header on mine. I had looked at the Strix-E but I am trying to keep cost down.  As for the Numbers you have listed after each board, what do they represent?

the vrm for every board.

if you need type c, the tomahawk and the a pro do have it and those boards are pretty good.

I'm sorry what?! that board is 300 bucks, and at that point, you'd be better off with an x570 board.

yes it's vrm are really good, it uses an XDPE132G5C and 14 TDA21472 but again, what?

unless you're answering..

Yea again, the boards suggested above are decent, you could also look for the b550 steel legend, but it's the same as the aorus pro when it comes to the vrm and does have a type c header iirc.

Although the features are something I need, I have no plans on getting this board. Like you said about the 550 version, it is over 300 usd. I do have the budget for it but do not want to spend that much.

The steel legend is 180ish bucks, the aorus master is 300, but yea the SL is also decent.

Man, why couldn't the X570 version have a USB-C header. I would snap that up quick. But alas it does not.

Well because of my case having a USB-C on the front, I want a board with the header.

I use it and love it. Only downside (depending on your taste) is that it may not run 3600 MHz at all - it is not on the QVL for G.Skill 3600 MHz RAM, unlike competing B550 motherboards from ASRock (Steel Legend etc) and MSI.

Otherwise I have no issues recommending it.
