I recently installed a second version of windows on my PC to run some diagnostics and I noticed something very weird, while playing Apex Legends my CPU temps would be completely different on both versions of windows, on my day-to-day Windows temps can go to 73-74c and when Playing Apex on freshly installed windows the temps hardly go above 65c, both versions use the same drivers same fan curves, etc. I checked if there is nothing running in the background on day-to-day windows while playing and the only thing using the GPU is the game, also cheked for malware etc and found nothing. Any ideas why the temps could be so different?

you mean your idle temp is 74c on Win 1, but only 65c while playing Apex in Win 2?

or both playing Apex?

check power option, is any one of them in high perf?

what CPU and GPU? blower GPU or open air?

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

Run a benchmark on each copy, check the temp and the fps

Of course it can run cooler, maybe because of the drivers, software running on the background, etc but if it runs at the same framerate and much cooler.. that's weird

The drivers are the same, there are no background apps using the GPU (except the game it self) on either systems. And FPS in the game is basically the same
