I just built my first PC this week and have been getting multiple blue screens due to “memory management error.”  I have 2 Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 16 GB (2x8 GB) in an Asus rog strix b450-f gaming motherboard.  When both sticks are in, I get the MM error.  When I ran the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool, it did not detect any problems.

I have also tried using one at a time in the same slot.  One was working completely fine; ran some games of CSGO, browsed the internet with no issue.  When I switched that one with other stick (putting it in the same DIMM slot), I got MM blue screens (even before logging in). I think I might a faulty RAM stick, but I wanted to check with people who knows more about this more than me.  Thank you in advance.

I’ll have to go out and get a USB drive.  If it says what I think is the faulty stick has no issues, what other problems might it be in your opinion?

Ran memtest and that stick is definitely faulty as it had over 3000 errors and didn’t even finish the first pass.  So I’ll have get a replacement stick.  Thanks for the help!!

If both the sticks were causing BSOD, it could have been a faulty DIMM slot, but since you tested them in the same slot, the only variable that changed was the stick itself.
