Raspberry PI 4, Ubuntu server

Go to solution Solved by Electronics Wizardy,

Yea that should work fine, none of those tasks need much cpu or gpu power to do.

Hi,

I've recently bought a raspberry pi 4 and I want to use it as a little server on my local network with an external hard drive attached to it.

I want to run a few things on it like:

- simple file sharing via ftp or something more fancy like owncloud
- torrent client with web interface (strictly for seeding linux images only :) )
- media server (without any transcoding magic)

- and maybe more

To avoid conflicts it probably would be a good idea to run these inside containers. I'm not familiar with docker and I'm not even sure if the hardware has enough processing power tho handle all of these.

Any advice?
