*I will keep my video card until the 3000 series comes out

*I use 2 monitors (main monitor 144hz)

1) What do you think about the configuration ? Do you see something wrong/something that may be incompatible ?

2) I have a limited budget (and I would like to keep some $ to buy the video card), but if you see something that can be better for not so much more don't hesitate to tell me!

3) I think I will go for the NVIDIA RTX 3070, do you think that a Power Supply of 650W is enough ? Should I go for 750W ?

Thanks in advance ! :D

Don't get the 9700k. It's outdated and just an 8core without hyperthreading which isn't ideal. Either get a 10600k or wait a little bit for the new ryzen cpu's.

Sounds like you already have a computer so I would advice you to just wait a bit longer and use that. Also golden tip since you are from belgium either use tweakers.net to compare prices or order from megekko. They are usualy the cheapest. Also that board may not have a bios that supports the 9700k.

The 3700x on a b450 tomahawk you posted about in your other thread last week would be better in almost every way, but ryzen 4000 is coming next month so if you already have something to tide you over until then you should see performance gains for about the same price (I'm roughly estimating 20% based entirely off zen 4000 mobile cpus and napkin math. AMD has a history of aggressive pricing)
650w should be fine for a 3070 (even if paired with a power hungry OC'd 10900k)

You advised me more or less the same thing so I can answer for you both.

I actually have an i5-7600K 3.80GHZ, and I have very low FPS on the games I play right now (with low textures) so it's very frustrating haha. I first decided to wait for the 3000 series, but if you think it's worth waiting for the Ryzen 4000 as well, I will take that into account. I read that they had to announce the release date early october. Do you know if it should be soon ?

Thanks in advance,

Ma4x

October 8th is the event for the ryzen cpu's. So wait till then to see what they say about it. Depending on the outcome of that decide on the system. But either way the system you listed here now is expensive, out of date and has been replaced by cheaper parts that perform better.

If you can overclock the 7600k (if not already) it should alleviate some of that pain
