So I went looking for a 500/650w PSU and was hoping to get a modular one if posable. What I discovered was that there was basically nothing left in my area and found one shop that had three CX750s just delivered so I garbed one while I had the opportunity (just as well my area has just been put in lockdown again as of midnight). So i was wondering if everyone is having this supply difficulty or if I just ran into a blip.

Now question number two when fitting the new PSU the socket is hitting the side of the case. What I want to know if it is best to remove and refit the socket (its only 2 screws) or to cut away part of the case? I don't want to reinitiate the PSU as the case has a filter for it.

So you consider that cutting and drilling the PSU(to refit the socket) with all the electronics inside is just as safe as cutting the case?

Wont need to cut and drill the psu just unscrew and reseat the socket there is about a 2/3 mm overhang I was just going to sand wedge the case between the plastic psu socket and the metal psu case.
