Delidding 9th gen Intel question

Anyone have experience? I have a RockItCool delidding tool, I used it to delid my 7700k and pentium 4600. I want to use it on my 9900k. 

Do I need the 9th gen delidding tool for 9th gen Intel CPUs? No, right? I can just use the old tool, yes? Please yes?

well considering the 9900k is a soldered IHS... it takes much more than just a delid tool to delid it.. without killing your CHIP, which you run a great deal of risk doing so.

Not worried about that at all. Check attached vid. I just need to know if the RockItCool original delidder will do the 9th gen stuff.

So it turns out, yes and no. The silicon of the 9th gen is thicker. Unrelated info:the die is thicker also. 

Der8auer measures previous CPUs as 0.87mm PCB thickness, and 9th gen as 1.15mm PCB thickness. Thats a 0.28mm difference. 

What I will do then, is remove 0.3mm of material from the old tool I have, so that it fits 9th gen properly. Then, I'll 3D print a spacer to fit inside to adapt to older intel chips.
