Hello, My name is (Inserdisplaynamehere), no literally, that's my name on here xD, ANYWAY, I have been spending a good amount of time looking for better alternatives to using Adobe Flash Player on Microsoft Edge or any other browser. I did get a notification as soon as I opened Edge that they were going to stop support for Adobe Flash on their browser by the end of 2020, so, that basically sums up what my question is. I just don't know where else to look. Thank you for taking the time to read this, I understand that this is pretty trivial and not really that important but, I have tried my own google search and have come up with programs that some developers use to create content rather than just for viewing flash content.

Flash was a security nightmare and was almost entirely superseded by HTML 5. There should be no need to use it moving forward.

Firefox will still support it but it is disabled by default and only turned on when you click the content that needs it and then accept the prompt that will allow it to work for that one tab instance only. Flash is a nightmare of a security hazard and has been completely replaced. Any website still using it has had more than enough time to move on and will or/and has been dropped from support.

Flash will no longer be available in Firefox Nightly 84.0 in October, which will impact Stable in December.

Basilisk from https://www.basilisk-browser.org/ should support all legacy plugins for the foreseeable future.

You should note that Adobe themselves will stop updating Flash on December 31, 2020. If you're still using Flash at that point, you should consider abandoning the services that still use it.

SHAW internet TV is still using it!

Then their services will stop working after December unless they already have a HTML5 option.

They have had enough time to move to something else, so there is no excuse for them to still be on flash.
