I had an old build comprised of an i5-4460s, 8 gigs of 1600Mhz RAM and a GTX 750Ti on an Asus H81m MB, all running on a 550W PSU. The build served me well for years, but it was time to upgrade. I went with a Ryzen 5 1600 af, 8 gigs of DDR4 3200Mhz RAM running on an Asus Prime B450M-K. The build went well for the most part, but when trying to turn it on i get one long beep and 3 ones. I removed my 750Ti (which doesn't require external power btw) and installed a GT210 i had lying around for troubleshooting. Lo and behold, it posts and i got into Windows just fine.
Note that my PSU had only a 4 pin for the CPU not 8, which got me wondering if that was the issue.

I would really appreciate all the help i can get, guys, and thanks in advance.

Try updating bios to the latest version that's not alpha or beta.

Some people on another forum say try manually forcing the pci-e slot to 2.0 from bios, because apparently there's some incompatibility issues between some nvidia chips and b450 chipset.

other thing could be your video card is not uefi aware and bios is uefi and there may be issues because of this ... look in bios for enabling bios compatibility or CSM or something like that, it may help.

Thank you for replying. I updated the Bios after booting immediately to the latest version on Asus' website, but the issue persists.
I'll check the Bios for compatibility options tho.

Ram issue, a 4pin power in a 8pin isnt exactly recommended but will work

Thanks for replying.
Ram works fine tho since i booted into Windows and used the PC for a bit with a GT210.
Asus seems to classify as an "anomaly is detected in the graphic card" due to it maybe requiring more power, but that's not the case here.
