Editing on 38" curved ulrawide - would that be a problem ?

xxx68

Hello guys, does any of you edit photos on curved ultrawide ? I do consider 38" ips LG 38GN950 3840 x 1600 160hz curved ultrawide. I believe curve on such a big screen may not be that visible and therefor it shouldnt be a problem ? Why do I consider this screen -> I am also gamer beside being wedding photographer and I would like to replace my 4K 27" and 1440p 144hz 27" combo, coz I like ultrawide and I would much prefer to have just a one screen. I know curved display would be a problem for architecture photographer but do you think it would be ok for wedding photography and editing portrait no architecture etc ? Thanks

This particular monitor seems like the best possible option for you. In this size the curve is quite pleasant to work with. I use 2 LG 27GN850's myself and can confirm the color and response time performance of LG's NANO-IPS panels is superb.

Both my monitors reach 97,5% D65-P3 coverage and 98,5% D65-P3 volume. It doesn't get much better than that for consumer displays.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

I use a 34" ultrawide for video editing and it is a pleasant experience. The curve is actually necessary for a screen that wide in my opinion anyway.

Like Stahlmann98 said, the curve is actually very nice. And as a bonus, if you do any gaming at all, it's a quite immersive experience. I think the 38" would be a great experience for you.

RGB is very overrated.

I have a LG 38" ultra wide. Last night I loaned it to my Son for video editing.  It is replacing the 3440 X 1440 ultra wide he was using.

Those few extra pixels over 1440 make all the difference when it comes to productivity. It is comparable to 4k and 1440 is not.

The screen height is about the same at a 27" monitor so working in PhotoShop feels about the same. I preferred it over my LG 32" 4k monitor for games and productivity.

The reason I loaned it to my Son is he offered to switch with his 55" OLED TV. The TV took up too much desk space and since I am retired I don't do productivity any more.

I already miss the ultrawide for gaming but the OLED is better at Netflix.
