Hello! I’m wondering if I can get any recommendations for a quick fix range/wifi extender. I’m still using the router provided by Verizon, and I’m just looking for something to get the job done. I don’t want to use access points and stuff like that cuz I don’t have that high of up and down speeds. I do eventually wanna upgrade to gigabit but that’s not gonna be for a while. I just want something I can plug into the wall and will work.

There are a bunch of different WiFi protocols but the newer systems are compatible with the older ones.  It’s just that things can never go faster than the slowest part.  If you don’t care how fast it goes anything should work, though you may wind up with “b” speeds.  If you want to go as fast as your current system allows the problem is we don’t know what protocol the Verizon router is using, so perhaps something brand new and higher end that will have all the latest features so it would automatically revert back to whatever you have?

just plug whatever it is into the wall and follow the instructions in the manual.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.
