Ryzen 5 3400G with no video output

I have a Ryzen 5 3400G with 1x8gb 2600mhz of ddr4 hyperx ram all connected to my chinese motherboard Colorful CVN B450M version 14. I dont have a dedicated graphics card but i hope it will work when i connected my hdmi cable from my newly built PC to my new YGT 1080p75hz monitor and then it showed nothing.

I tried to use my spare hdmi cable and it still didnt worked. I tried to reseat all the parts and nothing happened just my fan spinning and also the glow of the led from it.

I tried to go to the manufacturer's website owned by the CCP and i looked up to the bios update of the motherboard. I got confused because the bios download is just scrambled with no release date. What version of BIOS of a b450m chipset supports 3rd gen Ryzen CPUs. I'm planning to buy a hdmi to vga connector so that i can use the monitor and i havent still installed an OS.

You need to update the bios to the latest, it may not work with 3400g out of the box.

You can use chrome and set auto translate from chinese.

usually the latest bios is on the top of the list.

Ryzen 5700g @ 4.4ghz all cores | Asrock B550M Steel Legend | 3060 | 2x 16gb Micron E 2666 @ 4200mhz cl16 | 500gb WD SN750 | 12 TB HDD | Deepcool Gammax 400 w/ 2 delta 4000rpm push pull | Antec Neo Eco Zen 500w

I suspect the bios isn't supported, there was a another of b450 boards that didn't ship and 3000 ready. Its worth check also if u need a pair of sticks to boot. Not common but on a low end board ya never know. Imo I'm sure its bios version. U can contact amd and they can send u a loner cpu, prob be a athlon cpu of sorts so u can update bios and send the cpu back.

Interesting. Didn't even know AMD did that. Pretty cool.
