BAD FRAMES WITH 1080TI

hello I have a very good build however I get terrible frames in games that should be easy to run. I get stutters and inconsistent frames. around 37-40% gpu usage.

 

Build: i7 8700k

1080ti asus rogstrix

16gb g skill trident

did you try stress tests like unigine heaven?

 

you can also try DDU-ing the driver and re-installing them in safemode

Embarrassingly only fortnite yet I've tried running a heaven benchmark and got 3775. already did DDU didn't do much

check your CPU clockspeeds and temperatures under load

how exactly could I do that. I don't really think a i7 8700k should be bottle necking a 1080 ti.

download msi afterburner, it'll allow you to monitor many things in your system

it might be an issue if your CPU is overheating and downclocking itself.

just did a heaven bench mark frames are fine 4017 score. stil stuttering in fortnite and low in other games

check cooler, or check case airflow if cpu is overheating
