HI guys, since the 3000 series was announced i started looking my local used market for a GPU upgrade (i have a 1060 6GB). I think i found 3 candidates for my use, a 1440p 144hz monitor: a RTX 2070(not super) msi ventus for 270€, a 5700xt sapphire pulse for 320€ and a 5700xt red dragon for 300€. Is one of these a interesting option ? Or should I wait for the 3060 or big navi announcement ? I'm not in a hurry to upgrade, I'm just looking for a nice deal.

Do you need specific features like NVENC?

Correct Me If I'm Wrong but the 5700XT is just behind the 2070 Super on performance, so the 2070 should trade blows with the 5700XT? If that's the case I'd go with the 300 euros 5700XT.

Main Rig :

Ryzen 7 2700X | Powercolor Red Devil RX 580 8 GB | Gigabyte AB350M Gaming 3 | 16 GB TeamGroup Elite 2400MHz | Samsung 750 EVO 240 GB | HGST 7200 RPM 1 TB | Seasonic M12II EVO | CoolerMaster Q300L | Dell U2518D | Dell P2217H |

Laptop :

Thinkpad X230 | i5 3320M | 8 GB DDR3 | V-Gen 128 GB SSD |

i5 6500, keep in mind that i'm upgrading the whole pc and I will probably get a used cpu+mobo combo

I don't think it'd be a big deal.

yes the red dragon is better than the shitty model of that rtx 2070.

the i5 6500 will bottleneck, but since you will upgrade that too it will be fine

That depends on what the used market can offer, but since most people bought the ryzen 3600, that's probably what i'm going to get.

Ah cool. I don't think you'd have much of a problem with the 5700XT.
