$100 to $400 Gaming/Streaming PC

Go to solution Solved by Herman Mcpootis,

Some old i5/LGA 1366 xeon prebuilt and a used GPU is all you're gonna get for $400, while $100 just isn't gonna work.

Budget (including currency): $100 to $400 AUD

Country:  Australia

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: I want to mainly play e-sport titles (CS:GO,Fortnite,LOL,Valorant,Warzone), however since i have never really gamed on PC I want it to be able to play the majority of games so I can get a feel of what I like and don't like. I also want to be able to stream games and edit videos. Since i am still in school it would be nice to be able to use some programs like Fusion 360 or Unreal Engine. Basically it should be able to run most program ok.

Other details (): I all ready have all the peripherals I need (G413 Carbon Keyboard, G402 Mouse, G460 Mouse Pad, G399 Headset, C270i HD Webcam, Asus VP278H). I am upgrading from a Nintendo Wii (no GameCube support), PS4 Slim 500gb Jet Black, iPad 7th gen 10.2 inch and a Acer F15 laptop (i5 with 2 cores and 2 threads at 2.6 ghz, GeForce 940mx, 1 stick of 8gb ram(idk the speed), 500gbHDD, Laptop chassis and cooling. I will be buying this within the next 1 to 4 months and I want to play at 1080p low to high 60 FPS 60hz . Also I am happy to buy used and a side panel with some RGB would be nice!

Thanks for the help! 😀

Try looking for a cheap 3rd or 4th gen i5/i7 system and a used GPU. Just make sure the PSU in the system isn’t a bomb.

Look into used prebuilt and upgrade them with a dedicated GPU. Like a 1650 or an RX 550 if you're willing to go the used path.

I'd say RX550 is a bit weak for this

What about an RX 570, by using SATA power adapter to PCIE?
