Budget (including currency): Around 400 €

Country: Germany

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming (CS:GO, Valorant, For Honor, Singleplayer stuff. pretty much everything), image editing, office, sometimes video editing

Other details upgrading from an i7-4790k, 16GB RAM, RX Vega 56, Gigabyte z97 Gaming 5; I want to play on 144 HZ with 1080p, I want to upgrade as soon as possible

My plan is to take my RX Vega 56 into the next setup and wait for the RTX 3000 lineup to upgrade this later on. Additionally I have enough storage.

Hello guys!

I could need some help here 😅. I am kind of forced to upgrade. That is why I can't wait for to long. I was looking around in the Ryzen territory and found the R7 3700x for 280€. That one seemed to be quite good for my concerns. But then i saw the R5 3600X, which as far as I can tell is not to much slower but costs me around 200€. Is it worth to spend the 80€ or should I look for something completely different ? Furthermore I'm overwhelmed by all the motherboards and RAM opportunities. That is why I wondered if someone could help me with that.

Thank you for your time !

Kind regards.

Why are you forced to upgrade? If you can keep your system as it is. For gaming getting a new ryzen with the current card isn't gonna do much if anything. Ryzen 4000 comes in fall if you really feel like upgrading that would be when you should do it.

The problem is, that my sisters PC is not working as it should. That is why I wanted to give her my current rig and upgrade mine. Everything I heard about Ryzen 4000 was that it will be released in late December. But that would be to long though.

It's coming in fall. Amd publicly stated that. All points to octoberish with the info from navi. Either way if you can wait a bit longer. You may just wanna make a topic about your sisters computer as it may just be a simple solution.

Okay, then I am going to wait for that. When they will be released in October it should be fine. I will look for her PC the next days and see if I can either solve the problem myself or open a thread. Thank for very much for your help. Have a nice day !
