Anyone have any recommendations for moca enabled modems that run 3.1 or 3.0 that arent from a ISP? I havent really been able to find any comparable models to those that can be provided by the provider and that seems wrong.

I run moca cause im on a slab foundation and my attic doesnt have enough access to run cables

Why not just buy you a good modem and router then just use a Moca adapter? You can get a pair of adapters for like $160 USD the last I checked.

I dont hate the idea it just makes me feel like i have more points of failure. Are they splitting those out to different components because the demand for MoCA is low or its just a better idea because you can make things better separately? Also isnt there a thing where the frequencies can get jammed up and create interference when using docsis 3.1 and a MoCA adapted?

Its been a while since ive got deep into the MoCA knowledge. 160 for the pair is pretty good tho

Moca demand is low in the consumer market. Cable companies are the largest users I would imagine. That’s how they do whole home DVar setups.

D3.1 can use up to 1.7Ghz. However most cable cos don’t use past 1Ghz or just over. Also you are required to put a Moca filter on the line coming in from the cable provider if the same lines are being used for internet/TV and Moca. The Moca filter will block the upper bands from entering and existing your home.

MoCA 1.0 and DOCSIS had compatibility issues. MoCA 2.0 and 2.5 have no issues with DOCSIS.

Looking to buy GTX690, other multi-GPU cards, or single-slot graphics cards:

Thats not entirely true. Technically Docsis 3.1 can use up to 1.7 Ghz, which would cut in to the part of the spectrum used by Moca 2.0 and 2.5 adapters. Its just that Cable companies dont use that part of the spectrum currently and its not really clear if they will. Plus cable companies use Moca, so they have incentive not to utilize above 1 Ghz.
