Need help with clean install.

Go to solution Solved by Cacao,

Well there is a program you can use to find the CD key on your system, then you could just download a win 7 ISO and use that CD key. Not really the recommended method though, your best bet would be to find the original CD.

So my Pre-made PC came with a version of windows 7 don't remember if it was already installed or came with a disk, and I don't believe I have the CD if it did come with one. Is there any way to do a clean install of windows 7 on my new motherboard without the CD or external ways such as putting it on USB etc? Maybe finding the key on my PC or something? (Sorry I'm totally new to installing new motherboards and clean installs.)

-snip-

A new motherboard will invalidate the OEM version of windows your computer comes with.

You'll either be running an illegitimate version, or you'll need to purchase a new one.
