Hey guys, so I want to upgrade my GPU, since I make videos a lot I want to make sure I'm uploading the best quality I can and I also would like better performance. I currently have a 2GB GTX 660 but I decided I'd give my dad an amazing offer of getting it from me for $50 seeing as he doesn't have any sort of GPU and just APU he gets very mediocre performance and I want him to enjoy his games. However it'll take him awhile to get the money together so In the mean time I'm wondering if I should spring for a GTX 770 now. About $350, or go for a 780? About $550. I only use a single 1080p monitor and don't plan any sort of 1440p or 1600p upgrade anytime soon so what would you recommend?

770 is enough but I would get a 780. They are both great cards and will both work just fine.

Do you know of anywhere I could find some in-game benchmarks? Also how future proof is the 770? My 660 is only about a year old and recent games have already brought it down from playing on High @ 60fps :\

For $200, go the 770. But you shouldn't have such a massive price gap

I'm mostly basing it off the length of time I can continue to use it and still get great performance. I'd really like to keep it around as long as possible. My 660 only lasted me about a year :\ I don't really want to keep replacing GPU's all the time. I'd rather be making a haswell upgrade right now.
