Hi,

I have my current setup for quite some time, but since I am staying more at home recently, my pc noise is really starting to annoy me.

It wouldn’t bother me, if it’s were only under heavy load.

But it’s quiete nosy under idle (and minimal use).

This is my setup:

-i7 8086k ( I’ve won it in the intel giveaway)

-dark rock pro 4

-fractal design meshify c

 - I have the two fans installed that came with the case

- the graphics card is not the problem.

I know the meshify c is a pretty loud case.

Im thinking about  changing the fractal design fans out for silent wings 3.

The other option is to change the case for something more quiete, but I would prefer to keep my case.

What would you guys recommend me to do ?

Yeah I already tried That.

but since there dc fans, my bios only allows me to reduce them to 60% (~1000 rpm).

100% 1200rpm and 60% 1000rpm? Did you try to control them with dc?

Arctic P12/p14 are a nice cheap choice. You can even stop them on idle temps if you want to.

Yeah, Im confused by 1000 rpm too. I set them to 60%, but it showed me there were running at 960 or something like that. Maybe it reads the temperature wrong or I just made a mistake . Anways, great point. The arctics are pretty good. I think I’m gonna get one of the

5 pack. My only concern about them ,was that one of my friends told me that on of his were make in a hissing noise. But maybe it was just the one he had . But yeah for 30€ you vacant really go wrong

How are your idle or full load temperatures?

If they are alright, change the fan curve.

If they are not, maybe put on new termal paste or get an extra fan.

I hope one of your two fans is a rear exhaust one.

My temps are fine. 30°c on idle and about 75°c under full laod.

The problmem is: I cant put the Fans under 60 %(i cant put the dragging ponits at a lower position). Only if i compleatly turn them of.

But i think jeppes is wright. Im probaly gonne get the artic 12 pwm.

Adressing the fan position, yes one of the fans is in the rear.
