Hey!
I´m new to the forum and hope I post this in the right topic.

I recently upgraded my PC and since then it takes several attempts to post.

GPU and CPU fans ramp up to 100% and nothing else happens. Also it stays like that until I switch it off manually.

When it posts the fans ramp up and go straight back to idle like they should.

Sometimes it posts on the first try, sometimes I have to restart it 5 or 6 times before I can even get into the BIOS, let alone Windows.

Here is my parts list:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 3900X (about 2 weeks old)
  • Mobo: Gigabyte Aorus x570 I pro wifi (about 2 weeks old)
  • GPU: Nvidia RTX 2060 Founders Edition (about 6 months old)
  • 64GB G.Skill Trident Z Neo (2 Sticks, since the Mobo is Mini-ITX | about 2 weeks old)
  • PSU: Corsair RM750i (about 5 years old)
  • Windows 10 Pro (installed on a Samsung 950 Pro, 256 GB)

I really hope you can help me!
Thanks in advance!

Try booting with one stick of ram maybe..?

EDIT: I have no idea if it will help but I recommend troubleshooting your parts one by one if you can.

As I remember, this type of problem is related to CPU or RAM, try booting with one RAM stick instead, and also check your debug LEDs on the motherboard, it would tell you where it gets stuck.

That's where the debug LEDs are located.

  • 2 weeks later...

Sorry for not giving an update in such a long time. I recently took apart an rebuilt everything and tried turning the pc on with just one ram stick installed. However nothing changed at all. I still encounter the same issues as before..
