So I know XMP is super disliked with it causing issues a lot of the time. But I just noticed my new PC setup has been running 2133 MHz instead of 3k, which has to be noticeable once I get it overclocked. I'm using G.Skills Ripjaws V Series 4 x 8GB sticks DDR4 3000. So i went ahead and enabled XMP and when it saved and reset I got an immediate BSOD, and I think the error was "System thread exception not handled", not 100% tho. So I just restarted and hoped for the best and I ended up getting to the desktop and it was fine for a while. I loaded up a game and BSOD a few minutes in. So since XMP I guess is not the route to go, how do I go about tuning it up properly?

Edit: I am running a B450 Aorus Pro Wifi

I find that copying the XMP/DOCP settings works good. You may need to loosen the timings (going from 14 to 15 or 16 for example) if it's unstable, but it should be fine without doing it.

Make sure you're in advanced bios. set the speed to 3000mhz, and the voltage to 1.35. If that crashes, look for the timings. increase the first 5 listed by one until stable.

I'm not familiar with Gigabyte motherboards, so I don't know where everything is located. but you should find everything easily
