OSD sidekick keeps telling me to plug in the cable

slider_aus

i have the aorus FI27q-P pared with my FI27Q, osd sidekick detects the non -p monitor but not the -p "yes the monitor usb cable is plugged in'' the -p is the newer of the monitors and was just using the non p version for a while and the sidekick software worked fine. plugging in the new -p and the software will not detect it, usb passthrew functionality works just fine though.

i have tried reinstalling the software, running it with just the -p plugged in, contacting gigabyte, (my exsperiance with gigabyte support will be a thread on its own)

my windows install is very fresh aswell being only a few months old at version 2004 build 19041.450

Have you find the problem?

no im afraid i have not. however i did find a fix for me turning off multiple displays in windows so only my fi27q-p is displaying an image, i can then launch OSD sidekick and it will detect my monitor and i can go back and re-enable multiple displays, and osd sidekick will work as normal. until you reset my pc of course

try turning unplugging the usb cable from your pc after it's given you the "Please check if your USB Cable is connected" message

I did that and it instead told me "Process Is Running"

NVM that was because the process was already opened when I clicked on it again

I managed to get this working again (sort of)

1.- Download and install firmware update: https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/Firmware/GIGABYTE_M27Q_F07_220628.zip?v=10832eed09df191067414d34d68706cb

2.- Install Gigabyte Control Center Full Installation Package: https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/Utility/GCC_23.08.31.01.zip?v=affe016d552fe87d75e4da0ca7b99931

3.- After install is done, disconnect and connect cable again

It seems the old ODS_Sidekick app no longer works, all functionality is now handled by GCC (Gigabyte Control Center):

You need to use the "usb upstream " cable. Not a regular usb cable. Check the cables that came in your monitor cable package.
