I recently finished my first PC build and it does not want to boot. All of the lights light up and all of the fans spin (one of the most satisfying moments of my life). But now I am not getting any video output signal from either the graphics card or the motherboard. I have been hitting the "delete" key.

The build

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3600

Motherboard: MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon MAX WIFI

Graphics card: MSI RTX 2070

The B450 might need a BIOS update to work with that CPU.

It's a max motherboard though, so it should come with extra storage for bios and should work out of the box with ryzen 3rd gen regardless of bios age.

I'd say try to see if all the power connectors are plugged in fully, especially the CPU if it won't post. If you have a modular psu then check the PSU end of the power cables as well. Also try reinstalling ram and make sure you hear that click and check your motherboard to see if you have the ram in the right slots. If your motherboard has leds for troubleshooting try referring to those

Thanks for the tips, I tried all of them. I also tried moving my graphics card to a different slot on the motherboard (just to eliminate every possible variable). I'm starting to think the graphics card might have been DOA though. I'm going to test that by swapping it out for a friends tomorrow.
