So I will be buying a new monitor this weekend and in my research and checking, there are 2 panels that fit what I am looking for.

Viewsonic XG270QG https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07VP9GS1Q/?coliid=I1GVZTAB7EU9O5&colid=1FM7S7CMXLGEJ&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it

and

The QG is a nano IPS at 350 nit brightness 1440p 144hz OC to 165hz monitor. (only check box its missing is HDR for me)

The QC is an MVA panel at 550 nit brightness, HDR400 support, 1440p 144hz monitor and a 1500r curve.

I do game a lot on my monitor, but also watch a lot of videos and movies so I am very interested in high refresh rate and HDR.

I have no experience with VA panels and from my research, they seem to be a hit or miss on if they are good or not, but the QC has a great review from Digital Foundry, one of the best non bias review sites IMO.

My current monitor is this: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VRCLHYS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 which has done me well, but I am ready for a much more immersive experience with going to IPS/VA with HDR support. Will I be fine with the MVA panel with HDR support, or should I go with the tried and true nano IPS without HDR? help me decide!!! If you have other suggestions, please let me know that fit into these areas and price point!

Price: 600$ USD

Features: 1440p, 144hz, HDR

Having continued my research and dive into finding a new display, Hardware Unboxed has me convinced that I should get the LG 27GL850 or its 2020 refresh, the 27GN850 which uses the exact same panel, but eliminates the USB hub attached and is 50$ cheaper....
