Microphones don't work

I tried 2 microphones on my new PC, and they both don't work. No sound is picked up. The microphones are USB and PnP. I tried them both on my friend's PC and they worked.

Edit: forgot to mention that both microphones are recognised correctly by the Device Manager.

My PC specs:

• Gigabyte B450M S2H
• Ryzen 5 2600
• 16 GB of RAM
• Windows 10 Pro

Assuming your PC either installed the drivers for your microphones or soundcard on the motherboard, have you checked your privacy settings?
