Hello,

I live by my computer work, content consumption (music, video, movies/series) and gaming.

I've waiting for a deal on audioengine's A5+ but with all these sound bars being released I've been wandering if between tradeoffs I'd be better off with one instead?!

Not understanding enough nor having experienced them before the idea I have is that... comparing with something like the more expensive and increasingly popular sonos arc (which would be my absolute ceiling, without subwoof at least for a while), I'd lose some, maybe negligible quality, traded for for better soundstage if/when the application/content takes advantage.

Meaning, slightly (negligible?) worse at music, basically the same gaming/content with added soundstage for stuff with datmos.

is this idea accurate?

Regarding soundstage which would be the main advantage, aside from setup simplicity i guess, would that even work with me so close to it?

Regarding setup, I'm assuming is soundbar would just be plug and play with no fuss required connection and windows wise?

It's as much a technical question as personal experiences/opinions, so thank you for both.

Any things to take in consideration that I'm not asking, feel free to leave the advice.

Thank you again.

Regards,
