make sure the laptop is selecting the GPU to render the game instead of the integrated intel GPU.

Set windows to high performance

go into nvidia and select manage 3d settings, and change to discrete graphics

i5-14600KF // 120x38MM Cooler Master AIO // B760i // 64GB DDR5 6000 // PNY RTX 5070 // Cooler Master NCORE 100 Max // Cooler Master V SFX-850 Gold // UWQHD AOC Display

This is a silly suggestion but your power brick is plugged in while your trying to play right ? Most gaming laptops need to be plugged in for it to use the gpu full power

Not a silly suggestion at all.. i had the same brainfart moment couple of days ago with a friend's new laptop.

Games will not utilize all of the gpu ram. Unless your running 4k your 8 gigs will almost never run out. If your cpu is getting to 94c it’s going to throttle and hurt your performance. Get a laptop fan stand thing, blow some cool air into the unit and see if that helps
