Hello,

I am looking for a mid-range 4K TV. We are not big fans of movies and the TV will be primarily used to watch DVB-T2 broadcast and as a PC screen (browsing photos and occasional gaming). I would like to get something with decent image quality and upscaling technology. Due to the use case as a PC screen, I am reluctant to get an OLED panel (I know that manufacturers claim that their TVs are flawless, but I am a bit skeptical - especially in long term as I do not plan to change the TV anytime in near future). I have very limited knowledge about the TV industry, but I guess Samsung's QLED TVs are quite decent. I am looking primarily at two models which I can get on discount: QE55Q80T (~870USD) or QE55Q90T (~1230USD). I am wondering, is those extra 360USD worth it? (I wasn't unfortunately able to see those TVs side by side.) I like a lot the slimness of Q90T, but that alone is probably not enough to justify the price difference. Or would you recommend buying something else in the similar price range?

Thank you!

TCL 6 series. I have the previous version of this and it’s absolutely incredible. It competes well above its price range. Check out rtings.com for reviews, it seriously is just an amazing value. The fact it supports Dolby vision is basically all that you need to know, that tells you it has very capable HDR and very accurate color reproduction.
