Graphics Card Shopping Problems

Go to solution Solved by Guest,

The 3000 series will likely focus on the high end, and then the low-mid range later.

I found these 2 1650 low profiles in the US.

You do pay a premium for the form factor, but they are out there.

Ok so I am currently on the hunt for a Low Profile Gtx 1650 for my old build, but the prices seem very inflated right now. My question is with the Nvidia 3000 series coming out, will entry level cards, like my Gtx 1650 low profile, decrease in price or is it more likely that they will stop making them all together? I also want to know depending on the answer you give, if now is the right time to buy the card or if I should wait for the prices to decrease. Any and all information will be appreciated. Thanks fellas

Oh so the form factor also contributes to price... That makes a lot more sense lol. Thanks for the help.

Depending on your needs you might be able to get away with a GTX 1050 or 1050ti. I belive both come in low profile variants and last I looked they were only about $100 on the used market. A GT 1030 is even cheaper and can still play esports and older games although a modern CPU with integrated graphics could be better.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't this card and the gtx 1650 lp have nearly the same specs? Why is the 1650 way higher priced?

Scratch that. They are about the same price now.

I had not realized that but now that I am looking even ebay isn't much better. Marketplace and Craigslist are still ok, finding some there for as low as $50 but that may vary by area (I'm looking in MN and WI).

Best of luck!
