I currently have an I7 2600k running on a Maximus IV Extreme-Z motherboard and 2 x GTX580’s running in SLi mode. To be fair the system has served me very well over the years and still holds up with AC, ACC and Automobilista but only with carefully selected lower settings. I’m a racing and flight sim fan.

It looks like the bottleneck is in the GPU setup and I’d be keen to get any thoughts on how I can maximise sim experience without commencing a complete rebuild.

Thanks

A 980ti probably would not bottleneck or the 1070.

I will recommend an NHu12s (or an NHd15 (maybe)) for your PC build. Quote or @ me @Prodigy_Smit for me to see your replies.

I think the power supply is 1000W. Can’t get to the pc to confirm at the mo I’m afraid. It’s powered two GTX580’s without any issues. Budget of up to £400 I think given that the underlying system is old. Any more than that and I think I should consider a complete fresh build.

I’ve been looking at used 1080Ti’s but not sure if that’s wasted money given the mobo and cpu limitations. Also not sure if the Nvidia 16 series cards are better value??
