riser cable touching backplate

Ashhez

just set up a vertical GPU. the riser cable has a decent amount of it resting on the back plate of the GPU. i have a 2080super from asus and im running a decent oc. the temps dont get too high but the back plate does get hot is it okay to leave it touching?

Yup, it's fine, as long as nothing is putting pressure on the cable.

The rubber will only start deforming, if there's too much pressure. The heat alone won't do anything.

The cable is a little stiff and it slightly pushes against the backplate but from what I’ve seen everyone seems to have the same problem I was just curious
