as others have said, officially no, but you might be able to mod older boards to work, no guarantees on success or stability.

generally no. however there are a handful of z170/z270 boards that can be modified to accept 8th/9th gen processors. but if you're asking this question you probably shouldnt consider even thinking about that :P

100 and 200 series chipsets, like H110, B250, Z270, etc. are for 6th and 7th gen only. 300 series are for 8th and 9th gen, like Z370, Z390, B365, etc. Even though they both use LGA 1151, the electrical layout is different.

you should use PCPartPicker.com, it has a compatibility filter that you can use to check stuff like this in the future.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad
