the rest are from gigabyte

do you need these?

try installing a clean windows 10, without bloatwares

see if it happens

because i literally have no clue, sounds like computers where they load an image for you to use, and delete it (and changes u made) as soon as you logout, but that's probably not the case here since it doesnt happen on every boot up (not to mention you need to set it up that way)

Ever since i built my PC (which was few months ago) I have encountered a problem of both my drives formatting as soon as i switch off my PC.This does not occur everyday but like once a month. Are there any possible causes that could trigger this and are there ways of protecting the drive or preventing it. I have a 240gb wd m.2 nvme and a 2tb wd 5200rpm drive. my system configuration is Ryzen 9 3900x, Radeon 5700 XT, 32gb 3200mhz ram and a 650w psu.

just to add my PC temps are normal and during gaming they stay below 65-70c. Day to day tasks run smooth and i face no problems when i use my pc.

when i boot it up it shows "choose a boot media". I insert a windows 10 installation USB and i go to the troubleshoot section and open cmd and use diskpart to check the space in my drives. It shows as if they are wiped clean

is the data only gone in the SSD? or the hard disk as well

im thinking faulty NAND chips on the SSD, or a faulty controller

try doing that, see if the files are truly gone

do you run any weird softwares on that PC?

are the partitions still there or they're unallocated space?

unallocated space. I have softwares like driver booster, msi afterburner and malware bytes and the rest are from gigabyte
