Ram upgrade

Hey guys this is my first post so I hope it goes well.  I recently bought a hp omen 15 dc0096nr.  I have seen a few tech videos about upgrading the ram, ssd, and HD.  I already have a new 1 tb ssd but I'm having difficulty with the ram upgrade. I can't figure out what ram speeds my mother board will support currently it has 1 stick of 8 gb 2666.  If anyone has any info or would direct me in the right direction I'd be grateful

That cpu is rated at 2666mhz ram speed. If it has an open slot, then you just get another 8.

Typically you want the same module.
