EVGA psus

Avocheeseado

I know that a lot of EVGA power supplies are not as good as others priced similarly, for example the EVGA BR/BQ and the Corsair CX. The EVGA BR and BQ are also both a tier below the Corsair CX and some others which cost a similar price. I am just interested, what are the reasons for this? Is it a lack of protections like ovp?

Quality over quantity. EVGA makes literally too many different PSUs, like you can't even keep track of all of them, and many of them are just not even on par with the competition, regarding what you said.

Here's Aris' reviews on the Corsair CX and EVGA BQ:

No review of the BR from him, but the fact that it's got a sleeve bearing fan and it's only rated for 30C full load indicates the fact that it's really not a great unit.
