Worry of electrical damage over display audio popping sound

Whenever I turn on display port audio or switch which displayport input I use (to one that also has audio), there's a popping sound.I'm concerned that whatever glitch is causing this is causing a current strong enough to damage my equipment. Is this a legitimate concern? and is the display most likely to blame?

 

 

CPU: Ryzen 2600 GPU: RX 6800 RAM: ddr4 3000Mhz 4x8GB  MOBO: MSI B450-A PRO Display: 4k120hz with freesync premium.
