Google Chrome Extension virus

Installed a file and ran it as administrator because I thought it was safe. Now I have an extension on Chrome called MegaGuard, I can't uninstall it and it changes all my searches to this 

[g0ated]

You should have seen the reviews its 1 star rated everyone is saying its a virus. I ran this on windows sandbox and I could remove it. It might be, becuase your browser is managed by your organization popup. Was that always the case?
