Looking to replace ol' faithful

Hello, 

 

I'm going to start college next year and I'm looking to replace my 6 year old Asus N550JV. She has been good to me but I would like something more portable to transport (not to mention the battery could use replacing).

 

I'm looking for a windows machine perhaps a bit cheaper than the XPS line. 13-15 in. touch screen preferred. USB type A, headphone jack, Bluetooth and HDMI REQUIRED. Type C preferred.  RJ-45 is a plus but could easily go without. No gaming necessary, just something to take notes and do a bit of homework until I can get home to the desktop. Battery life 10+ hours greatly preferred. The thinner and lighter the better. Any suggestions into the right direction appreciated.

 

(Also playing with the idea of waiting until next summer to purchase to see what the new Ryzen mobile chips improve in the laptop area but I'm not sure if it'll be worth the wait)

Is there significant difference between the 4700U and the 4750U?

The 4750U has hyperthreading. The 4700U does not.
