Linus' reminder problems, solved.

Linus has complained a few times about the broken reminders on Android. While I don't disagree about the alerts being too easy to miss, on his Note 9 (also on my Note 8 as shown below). Moderators can pass this along as they want.

 

The best way I've found:

1. Open the Samsung Clock App.
2. On the Alarm Tab.
3. Tap the + Icon to add a new alarm.
4. Tap the Calendar Icon just above the days of the week.
5. Choose the day you want the reminder to happen.
6. Name the Alarm with your reminder.
7. Choose the Alarm Sound.
8. Choose the Vibration.
9. Tap Snooze, then choose repeat forever.
10. Tap Save.

I mean you could just use the calender app, which can add events from emails and have notifications and reminders before the event starts

The calendar app takes longer to add reminders, plus, they will notify you only once, with the default sound. So it's easily missable.
