Hello Guys!

I have a system running an I7-8086K at 5 GHz and and i tried setting the  VCC 1.32V.

I use  Arctic Cooling Liquid Freezer 120 first gen.

I used Cinebench R20 as a test  running for 15 minutes and there were no BSOD.

Am i on the right track or a deathwish? :)

That screenshot was taken while running Cinebench? Because the CPU usage should be 100%.

Is it the Vcore that you set to 1.32V? What LLC level are you using?

Yes it was!I don`t why it wasn`t a 100% load 🤷‍♂️

It means your overclock is very likely unstable.

Cinebench isn't a stability test anyway, so run either Prime95 or Linpack Xtreme to check whether your overclock is actually stable.

Here is a screenshot when using prime 95

Your CPU usage should be 100% constantly.

Try lowering the multiplier to 49 and see if this still happens. Also make sure you're running the latest BIOS.

Will try that :)

I also had a BSOD 😬.

I`m no expert but ...i`m willing to try 😅

Well going straight for 5GHz isn't really optimal, you need to take it slow when it comes to overclocking.

If you're looking for a very good and insightful guide on the whole process, I'd check out this video:

This is on Comet Lake, but overclocking is pretty much the same on Coffee Lake.
