New laptop

Hello

I am buying a new laptop. Got a selection down to 3-4 laptops. But still not sure what to choose. Any advice? What would you choose?

 

-Oment 15 (2020) - 1350€

-Rog Strix G17 (2020) - 1500€

-MSI GL75 (2020) - 1500€

 

-Blade 15 - 1800€ (is it worth +300 €?)

 

They all have i7-10750H, rtx 2070. 16gb ram, IPS 144hz screen,... Laptop is mainly going to be used for gaming. Looking forward to any feedback about thermals, displays, build quality... Any other honorable mentions around that price point(EU market)?

The 2070 is a waste. It's slower than a 2060 110W so you are better off downgrading the card. You'll get the same performance for less money.

 

On topic, the Blade and GL are extremely shit. Avoid them like the plague.

The Strix is overpriced and the Omen I Tel config is mediocre.

 

Get an Eluktronics RP-15 with a 2060 Elektroboost. It will outperform them all with its 2060 boost and will also offer a much faster CPU in the form of the Ryzen 7 4800H. It's more powerful than an i9 10980H while using much less power and running cooler

That is a great recommendation! But, due to me being in EU and that laptop is getting shipped to me from US, it costs around 1750€ (around 400+€ for taxes and shipping costs) for a 1tb storage option. Sadly at the moment 4800h laptops are limited if you go rtx2060 and up (apart form tuf, g14.... few more models out there) as far as i can see. Ideally i would go for 4800h, rtx 2060(or more), 1tb ssd, 144hz screen with good thermals for up to around 1500€. Anything else comes to mind?

Look at a local reseller. The Eluktronics model uses a standard chassis and is customized by them. Check HiDevolution for similar models.
