P500A DRGB - How to use included DRGB controller?

Hey guys first post here.

I've bought myself a P500A DRGB and it supposedly has a 'software free DRGB controller' included that you access via the top buttons on the case, but I can't figure out what i'm supposed to do to make it work.

I have worked on many computers over the years, mostly business related, and this is my first experience with RGB.

I connected to my ASUS mobo's aura sync just to see that it works but I would rather stick to the button controls than use software.

Also I can allow my kids to press the buttons (under supervision)

I just tried connecting these 2 bits together but the fans are just red now.

Any help would be appreciated thx.

The included fans all connect together and nothing goes to the motherboard.  That cable says M/B so that probably isn't it.  I hated this on my P400A so I just connected everything to the motherrboard.  The included fans all daisy chain together.

Thanks for the tip. Silly me overthinking it. I just unplugged those cables from each other and it works fine.
