pros and cons of vertical mounting gpu?

frozensun

Hey guys share your own experience what are pros and cons of this.

I still havven't decide if I'll place the card vertically inside TT View 91 TG RGB.

I did screw it onto the chasis via 2 screws but card wooble a lot,and I became anxious to leave it like that.

The only 2 things which would hold the card are those 2 screws and slot from TT riser cable (other end).

My card is Asus Strix OC,I have other one too,but that one is even more heavy.I

I'm not concern about temps since the card is quite away from glass side of the case.

Feel free to share your own pics of vertical monting, issues, pros, cons and opinions.

From the video below I haven't screw it onto pcie slot from riser cable,it's only secured by 2 screws.

Please do not take offence for my apparent confusion or rudeness,it's not intent me to be like that,it's just my BPD,be nice to me,and I'll return twice better,be rude and usually I get easly pissed of...I'll try to help anyone here,as long as it's something I dealt with, and even if you think I'm rude or not polite, forgive me,  it's not me it's my BPD.

Thanks for understanding.

bad idea... you severely choke the air flow off. If you are going to vertical mount it, you should look into the Cablemod Vertical mount setup. Otherwise you will choke any air flow from the card causing it to reach significantly higher temps than normal and potentially hit thermal throttle limits as a result.

the case is huge, besides this GPU is not known to have heat issues,GTX 1660 Ti,so forget about temp issues.

I'm concern about damaging,breaking cards...

its not about how big the case is.. its about how close the side panel is to the GPU and it restricts nearly all air for the GPU to use as a result.
