Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mostly Games, 3 AAA titles and mostly MOBA and FPS games for competitive

Other details:

Hi its my first time here, and I have an old unit, gtx 960 with i54460 for about 5 or 6 years now with an 1080p monitor, and this is the only time i have the money to build another one.

With my current budget, is it worth it to wait for the new gen GPUs and CPUs that is supposedly to come? or just go with my plan build as it will fit the budget. Also would a switch to 1440p monitor be recommended?

(pls do note that in my country, parts and components are priced higher than in the US)

Currently my plan build is:
AMD 3700x

x570 Asus TUF Mobo

Gigabyte Windforce 2070 Super

corsair 650W 80+ gold

Ripjaw DDR4 3600 RAM 16gb

a m.2 500gb that i havent decided on yet

a 7200rpm hdd that i havent decided on yet

i would appreciate any opinions and suggestions!! thank you!!

That is on nice build but I think you should wait for the new gen stuff that is about to release. There s’pose to be very good with price to performance. If you don’t want to wait go with what you have planned, but if you can wait, go with the new gen cpus, GPUs, and possibly mobos. A 1440p monitor will be an improvement, especially because your getting such nice computer parts.
