I recently sold @ZombifiedPyro a Intel i5 3570k, ASRock Z77 Pro 3 Motherboard, G. SKILL Ripjaws X 8GB 1333MHz RAM, and a Corsair CS750M power supply with sleeved cables. He said that the system would not post, but the fans would spin on the case as well as the CPU heatsink. He then said once he put in a dedicated video card the system worked fine. What could be wrong?

PS: He wants to use on board graphics it was just a test using the video card.

That would tell me that ether 1. the video card was not supported by the motherboard, 2. the PCI slot on the motherboard is bad or 3. the card is dead.

test each individuality

1. look in the supported list of things for that board see if the card is there possibly try a bios update

2. try something else in that slot, does it behave the same.  also try the card inn another slot if there is one.

3. try the card in another pc

(if the card need direct PIE-power and the 4/6 or combination were not connected this would also happen)
