Hey I been having a bit of trouble trying to update my mobo bios I have a aorus gaming 5 z370 which is a gigabyte board but i download different bios updates not at same time and neither worked, one was the latest and one was fairly new I have been ruining the bios that came with the board so it is pretty old and I may get a 9th gen intel later on when there is a nice deal I have tried to watch videos doesn't help it just says the bios isn't compatible or something like that aka won't run if anyone got any tips they would be appreciated.

Is there a reason you're trying to update the BIOS? If it's your daily, then it's adviseable to not update unless you're having issues, especially if you're having trouble.

Main: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti, 16 GB 4400 MHz DDR4 Linux - Fedora

I am hoping to get some more performance out of it and also like i said in the future I might get a 9th gen intel chip if i can get a good deal and my mobo requires a update to support 9th gen cpus.

BIOS Updates hardly ever give more performance, especially in something as well seated as Skylake and its derivatives. What version are you running? You might not need to even update for 9th gen.
