dosent have to be gold, the efficacy rating only effects the amount of power drawn from the source not how clean or anything like that

If i go close to the edge i want to know that i have a serious PSU meaning that it's actually able to deliver the amount of watts it says on the box.

any 750w will be fine as long as its rated at a minimum on bronze and able to run for long periods of time

Hence the 80+ gold.

there's good ones that aren't gold rated.

By that, do you mean you should not buy a 80+ Bronze Seasonic unit because its not Gold, hence junk?

The good PSUs of last year are now useless because we are starting to see Gold rated units at a reasonable price?

No but with gold you are on the save site (of life). Also i wasn't saying that the rest is junk but i was saying that i would never buy a PSU under 80+ gold. Cause i'm a snoob. A PSU snoob.
